WHY THE SERIES 102

Built for Steel Plate

Electro-permanent magnets

No battery backup is needed if the power fails, and the magnets don’t need constant power like an electromagnet. Standard 120VAC plug.

Radio remote control

A two-button radio controls the magnets, with backup buttons on the system itself.

Adjustable magnet placement

Quick release pins and added holes in the frame let operators move the magnets to avoid problem nesting areas or adapt to other plate sizes and widths.

SERIES 102 FAQ

Series 102 Magnetic Plate Lifter FAQ

How does the Series 102 TP-1000 work?
Two TP-1000 electro-permanent magnets are mounted on the frame. The operator uses the handle to place the system on the plate, then controls the magnets with a two-button radio (backup buttons are on the system). A two-part, single lift point chain sling connects the system to a single-hook crane.
What steel plate can it handle?
The TP-1000 system handles 4′ × 8′ plate from 3/16″ to 1″ thick, A36 steel, uncoated and unpainted, with a maximum lift capacity of 1,325 lb. The manual REM-2200 configuration handles plate up to 5′ × 10′.
What happens if the power fails?
The TP-1000 magnets are electro-permanent by design, so they need no battery backup in case of an electrical failure and don’t need constant power like an electromagnet.
What power does it need?
A standard 120VAC plug, which is available in most fabrication facilities.
Can the magnets be repositioned?
Yes. Quick release pins secure the magnets to the frame, and additional holes can be cut into the frame for other magnet positions. That lets operators avoid problem nesting areas or adapt to other plate sizes and widths.
How do I get pricing or see it in person?
