Permadur was founded in 1972 as a family-owned business with a simple belief: industrial lifting and material handling equipment should be safe, reliable, and built to last. What started as a small, hands-on operation has grown into a trusted name in engineered lifting solutions—while remaining family-owned and operated to this day.

From the beginning, Permadur has focused on solving real-world problems faced by fabricators, manufacturers, and material handling professionals. Instead of offering one-size-fits-all products, we work closely with our customers to understand their applications and deliver solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and productivity on the shop floor.

 Over the decades, our equipment has been used in steel service centers, fabrication shops, shipyards, aerospace and defense facilities, and heavy manufacturing operations across the country. Many of our customers have worked with Permadur for years—some for generations—because they know they can rely on our products and our people.
