Mechanical contracting

SISSCO’s mechanical/electrical contracting division focuses on large-scale modernization and installation of material handling equipment.

What we offer

MODERNIZATION

Sissco’s experienced engineering department specializes in mechanical and electrical modernization for all types of material handling equipment. Whether its keeping up with current technology, improving your equipment's performance, or prolonging the service life of your equipment, SISSCO can determine the right modernization scope to meet your requirements.

Just as different projects tend to have their own unique scope, we understand that the equipment optimizations and enhancements required to perform the jobs on these projects might require a variety of solutions. That is why Sissco offers many modernization types for its customers. Here are some modernization types we offer:

MODERNIZATION TYPES

INSTALLATION

Our knowledgeable crews can provide installation solutions for your material handling equipment needs. With coordination from our project management team, we offer turnkey installations with seamless integration into your project or facility.

By now, you’ll know that Sissco goes beyond providing overhead crane and hoist services and solutions. We can install many kinds of material handling equipment and control systems, including but not limited to:

Installation TYPES

UNION INSTALLATION

Project Labor Agreements (PLA’s) are very common in most major cities which require general contractors or end users to utilize local union labor. Sissco’s relationships with these union organizations allow us to complete these installations efficiently and successfully while maintaining an experienced Sissco supervisor onsite from start to finish.

OVERHEAD CRANE RELOCATION

When it comes time to move to a new facility or start a new project in a new location, Sissco can relocate your overhead cranes. We will send our installation representatives to your facility to determine the best possible solution for removing, modifying and installing your equipment in a new location.

CERTIFIED LOAD TESTING

From 1/2 Ton capacity to over 100 Ton capacity, SISSCO’s load testing procedures complies with OSHA 1910.179 or any applicable ANSI B.30 load testing requirements.

While the main focus is on overhead cranes, this division expands outside of that industry to provide the same service to railcar maintenance equipment, bus maintenance equipment, and much more.
