A permanent lifting magnet is an excellent device for securely transferring heavy materials. Permanent lifting magnets have several applications because they reduce the need for excess equipment, such as slings, chains, and clamping devices. Lifting magnets lift many heavy objects, such as steel plates, forgings, and die castings.

- Permanent Lifting Magnet
- Pros – You do not need an electrical supply when handling a load. This feature removes the danger of material dropping during a power failure.
- Cons – The magnetic field line’s strength is constant, so it tends to corrode with time. Additionally, these lifting devices do not work well with hot-device applications.
- Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnet
- Pros – They save on energy as power is only used during activation and deactivation. Other advantages include higher safety and remote control availability.
- Cons – These lifting magnets are sensitive to the air gap between the lifted load and the magnet. We do not recommend using these lifting devices with loads that have an uneven or rough surface. Additionally, these magnets cost more than their counterparts.
- Electric Lifting Magnet
- Pros – This lifting magnet can handle high load capacities because you can increase its strength with a charger or higher volt battery.
- Cons – Electric lifting magnets heat up quickly and use a ton of energy. If they heat up too much, it can be dangerous.
